You don’t need a big budget to build a meaningful employee experience. This session explores practical, low-cost strategies to strengthen engagement and workplace culture using what you already have. From gathering meaningful feedback to leveraging your company’s unique makeup—like generational diversity and differing abilities—you’ll learn how to create connection and impact without spending a dime. We'll also unpack how to energize existing resources like wellness programs and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to increase belonging, motivation, and participation.

Through this session, you'll:​

  1. Discover low-cost and no-cost engagement strategies that actually work.

  2. Learn how to collect, interpret, and act on employee feedback to improve your culture over time.

  3. Explore how ERGs and wellness initiatives can become powerful engines of engagement.

Speaker Bio:

Clara Stroude Vazquez is a 21-year veteran of the Miami Heat franchise. She's a trailblazer dedicated to nurturing talent, driving cultural change, and making a lasting impact in the world of sports. She spearheads the organization's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Passionate about fostering an inclusive environment, she embodies the spirit of HEAT Culture, inspiring employees to embrace the franchise's core values.

 

Clara's journey with the Heat began as an enthusiastic intern in the Community Affairs department, where her hard work and determination led her to land a full-time role as a Marketing Assistant. Over the years, she has taken on various positions within the marketing department, enhancing the team's outreach through innovative campaigns and flawless game operations. Clara honed her leadership skills through managing the Heat Dancers, Burnie the Heat mascot, and the Golden Oldies, creating memorable experiences for fans.

 

An alumna of East Carolina University, Clara also contributes to the next generation as an adjunct faculty member at Barry University's Andreas School of Business, where she completed her graduate studies. She actively supports women in the sports industry as the Chapter President of WISE (Women in Sports and Events) South Florida.
