Speaker Bio:

Carrie Y. Holland currently serves as the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) for the Internal Revenue Service. As the CDO, Carrie has the fortunate opportunity of working to meaningfully improve the IRS culture for the Service’s valued employees and the taxpaying public.

 

Carrie is a proven leader with over 25 years of leadership experience. In her previous role as Deputy Human Capital Officer, she was responsible for executive leadership to employees of the human capital office and numerous HR programs. She previously served as the principal advisor to the Acting Assistant Deputy Commissioner for Services and Enforcement. In this role, she helped ensure efficient and effective operations performance and led the Service-wide effort to expand IRS services to limited English proficient taxpayers. Carrie also served as Director of Wage and Investment Media and Publications, developing, designing, publishing, and distributing tax products and non-tax products. Before joining the government in 2002, Carrie was a senior organizational change consultant for Northrop Grumman Information Technology.

 

She holds a master’s degree in organizational management, a bachelor's degree in government and public policy, and as a master’s certificate in project management from George Washington University.
