"Psychological Safety: The Human Foundation for AI-Accelerated Change"
---
AI-driven change is occurring faster than most teams can metabolize it. Uncertainty about what’s changing, how decisions are made, and what AI means for people’s roles is fueling fear and disengagement. In this environment, it’s easy to lose sight of the current state and nearly impossible to move in a new direction. When trust is low and transparency feels adhoc, psychological safety tanks. Teams become stuck in the anxiety zone - burnt out and unable to integrate and support change.
To truly foster change and transformation capability, we need to first strengthen the felt sense of safety. An adaptable culture requires a consistent sense of psychological safety - an environment in which people remain curious, speak up, and learn quickly. As with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, we must first meet foundational needs to enable high performance and transformation.

This highly engaging one-hour workshop explores psychological safety as a critical capability for navigating an AI-influenced workplace. Grounded in neuroscience, participants will learn how trust and safety fosters resilience and agility.

Through interactive, experiential activities, participants will feel what psychological safety is like, even while interacting in newly formed relationships. These exercises are designed to move individuals and groups into the “learning zone,” where curiosity, openness, and collaboration can emerge.

This workshop equips participants to create the conditions where honest dialogue, shared learning, and trust can grow - ultimately, creating high performing teams with greater resilience. Practical exercises can be easily applied after the workshop with in-person, virtual, or hybrid teams.

Participants will leave ready to:
-
Explain how psychological safety shapes trust, engagement, and a team’s ability to navigate AI-driven change.
-
Recognize the signs of low psychological safety, including patterns of anxiety, disengagement, and silence.
-
Apply simple, practical exercises to build trust, strengthen connection, and move teams into a learning-oriented, collaborative state.
