"Wellbeing as a Business Imperative"

---

Research from the University of Oxford and Professor Jan-Emmanuel De Neve shows a direct link between employee well-being and stronger business outcomes: higher productivity, greater creativity, and improved financial returns. In this session, Scott Floyd, who leads Global Benefits at Cisco Systems, unpacks how belonging, purpose, and healthy stress management form the core drivers of well-being and why they now sit at the heart of Cisco’s people strategy. Attendees will see concrete data backing the case for “well-being sustainability,” examine Cisco practices that elevate team climate, and explore how leaders and individual contributors alike can protect humanity and leverage personal strengths while working alongside AI.

Through this session, you'll know how to:

  1. Leverage data to make the case for well-being as a business driver, not just a wellness perk.

  2. Model behaviors at the leadership level while empowering individuals to take ownership of their well-being.

  3. Prioritize human strengths—like empathy, creativity, and connection—as strategic advantages in an AI-powered workplace.
