"Leading with Gratitude: What F1 Pit Crews and Ted Lasso Teach Us About Culture and Performance"

---

Great teams, whether on the racetrack or the pitch, thrive on trust, gratitude, and connection. What if your workplace culture could operate like a Formula 1 pit crew—fast, synchronized, and high-performing—or like Ted Lasso’s team, where kindness and belief turn underdogs into champions?

In this session, Stephen Jolley, Director of Demand Generation at Motivosity, will show how leaders can use gratitude to unlock performance, retention, and engagement in their organizations. Drawing on business data, HR case studies, and pop culture lessons, Stephen will connect the dots between a culture of thanks and measurable business outcomes.

Attendees will explore how:

  • F1 pit crews model precision, collaboration, and the importance of every role being valued.

  • Ted Lasso’s leadership style demonstrates how vulnerability, belief, and consistent gratitude transform culture.

  • HR leaders and executives can implement similar gratitude-driven practices to reduce turnover, improve productivity, and inspire teams at every level.

This isn’t just theory—it’s gratitude as a business strategy. Attendees will leave with a framework and practical tools to turn appreciation into ROI while making work more human and fulfilling.

Through this session, you'll learn:

  1. How F1 and Ted Lasso’s playbooks translate into real-world recognition practices.

  2. The Gratitude Framework — A simple, repeatable model to foster recognition that directly impacts retention and performance.

  3. Building an Action Plan — A buyer’s guide template to design recognition that leaders can bring back and implement immediately.
