We Stand With The Black Community

Updated: Jun 16, 2020

As we’ve been navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve heard many people express the desire to “go back to normal.” The fact of the matter is that “normal” is not what we should be working toward. “Normal” is a society steeped in racism, inequity, and injustice, all of which are deeply embedded into our many systems and structures. We need to strive for more.

We stand firmly behind our vision at CultureCon: We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to work within an inclusive and inspiring organizational culture. Alongside our work to further equity and inclusion within organizational cultures, we are actively committed to helping build a world where everyone can feel safe, have their humanity fully recognized and honored, and inclusively and equitably thrive.

Black lives matter. We stand with those in the Black community and we stand with those fighting for racial and social justice in Madison, across the United States, and around the world. In support of these movements, CultureCon will be donating to the following local organizations:

Freedom, Inc. Urban Triage The Progress Center for Black Women The Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development CultureCon

Like many of you, we have a long way to go, but we will continue to lean in and fight for equity, justice, and liberation for all. We encourage you, our #CultureGeek community, to join us.
