On August 6, in front of more than 800 people in person and online at CultureCon 2026, we announced that CultureCon is becoming WorkPossible.

It started with coffee ☕️
In 2017, we sat down at Colectivo Coffee on the Capitol Square in Madison, Wisconsin with a question we wanted to explore: What becomes possible when you bring together people who are passionate about building positive workplace culture?
Nearly ten years later, that question has turned into an international community, a national event series, professional development programs, consulting services, an annual global research project, and a podcast.
We’ve grown out of being just a conference, and we needed a name that could keep growing with our expanded services. Equally important, we wanted a name that was uniquely ours. With other “CultureCon” organizations in the U.S. and internationally, our community needed a distinct brand of its own.
But despite the name change, culture is still the heartbeat of our organization. That’s never going to change.
And the name isn’t new to us! For the last two years, we’ve been using WorkPossible with our friends at Fauna for our annual employee research project and a podcast mini-series.
We love this name because it captures the spirit of this community: Culture Geeks who are always asking what if? and what’s possible?
That’s really what WorkPossible is about. It’s the belief that work can be a force for good, and that when people come together with curiosity and purpose, incredible things become possible.
None of this would have been possible without this community. This next chapter wasn’t created by just the two of us. It was shaped by all of you.
And now, we want you to help us shape what comes next.
We’re launching a WorkPossible membership, something our community has been asking for: year-round content and more ways to stay connected between events. We’re co-creating it with our community and would love your feedback. Take our short membership survey.
2027 marks our tenth year, and that’s when WorkPossible fully takes over.
Same team. Same mission. New name.
We also want to thank Governor Tony Evers and the State of Wisconsin for officially proclaiming August 6, 2026, WorkPossible Day. 🎉🎉🎉
We’ll share a lot more as we build toward the full launch in January. If you have questions, we’ve created a WorkPossible FAQ. And if you want to help us spread the word early, we’re looking for founding Brand Ambassadors.
Thank you for making this what it is. We can’t wait to build what’s next together 🚀
And before then, we’ll see you at CultureCon West 2026 in Las Vegas this October.
